General Info

Tucked away on level 8, opposite 7, at Cempaka Apartment Hotel along Jalan Pudu Ulu, Namul Vegan Cafe is one of those places you don’t just stumble upon-you seek it out. And once you do, it feels like a rewarding little discovery. This vegetarian restaurant brings together comfort, flavor, and a calm atmosphere that instantly makes you want to stay a little longer.

Walking into Namul Vegan Cafe, the cozy setting stands out right away. It’s not overly fancy, but that’s part of its charm. The space feels warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dine-in experience whether you’re catching up with a friend or just enjoying a quiet solo meal. The overall vibe pairs nicely with the healthy options on the menu, creating a balanced and refreshing dining experience.

Speaking of the menu, it’s thoughtfully curated with dishes that are both satisfying and nourishing. The Miso Noodle Soup is a standout-light yet deeply flavorful, with a comforting broth that feels like a hug in a bowl. If you’re in the mood for something more filling, the 韓式拌飯 (Korean-style mixed rice) delivers a hearty combination of textures and flavors that blend beautifully together. And then there’s the 炸豆腐 (fried tofu), which is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and surprisingly addictive.

What makes this place even more appealing is how accessible it feels. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a full meal, the service style adapts easily. The cafe supports debit card payments, making transactions smooth and convenient, especially for regular visitors.

From a reviewer’s perspective, Namul Vegan Cafe strikes a nice balance between comfort food and mindful eating. It doesn’t try too hard, and that’s exactly why it works. The dishes feel genuine, the portions are satisfying, and the setting encourages you to slow down and actually enjoy your meal.

For anyone exploring vegetarian-friendly locations in Kuala Lumpur, this spot definitely deserves a place on your list. The combination of cozy atmosphere, well-crafted menu options, and consistent dine-in experience makes it a reliable choice for both first-timers and returning guests.

What customers say?

“ Healthy food, low salt, low sugar Homemade taste, good for vegan Do not expect heavy taste like food hawker seller or regular restaurant. Sit back and enjoy your vege food in peaceful mind... In general, all acceptable and price reasonable... Hidden gem, location at 8th floor Cempaka hotel, next to swimming pool... ”

“ We visited this hidden gem of a vegan restaurant for lunch. It's located on the 8th floor of Tower 2, Menara PGRM. The decor is simple and pleasant, although without aircond. They have daily specials in addition to a regular menu. We tried the mee rebus which was especially delicious. Mee siam was a generous portion for the price with tempe, sambal and vegetables and very tasty. Nasi lemak was good too. Prices are reasonable and staff were polite. We enjoyed our meal here. ”

“ We had perfect meal for our breakfast. Their smoothies is so good must-try. Yellow curry rice and nasi lemak has nice aroma. Scone is so good with homemade kaya. So satisfied with moist chocolate banana cake as dessert, not so sweet. High quality food with affordable price. ”

“ We visited Namul yesterday and the day before, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious! The Meat Pan Mee and Nasi Lemak were outstanding — even my little child loved them. We also really enjoyed the oat drink with banana, fried tofu and tempeh, coffee, bread with kaya, and the mushroom sandwich. The people working there are so friendly, and we truly appreciate the small but super tasty selection of dishes. Such a lovely place — highly recommended! ”

“ Wonderful place, the atmosphere is great and the food fantastic, the owners are really kind people. The price are completely cheap. I came here many times during my trip in Kuala Lumpur for take away and dine in, and also for lunch, pastries dinner and of course for smoothies. I really love it. I’m vegan and always for me is so difficult find something good, nice and comfortable, this place have all. If I can give you more start I’ll do it. ”

“ Found this place by chance. The place is serene n quiet. Staff is friendly. Nasi Lemak is not the traditional one but it's good. The sambal is too spicy though. Drinks is good.. They also serve non caffeine coffee here.. After sitting for a while, it can get quite warm. ”

“ the vegetarian food here is more high price maybe due to maintain food quality and expensive rental fees around petaling street. The nasi lemak set is good taste & healthy even not large portion (good for people to eat and keep stomach out of hungry). Environment wise is warm temperature, if more people get inside will be feel hot easily. ”
